When I go fishing people ask how big a fish did I catch. I don't fish for big. I fish for eaters. those taste best to me.
Now I will keep a larger blue sometimes but I don;t like to clean any thing over 10# . but that's just me.

Everybody does this catfishin thing for different reasons. I’m in it for the memories. There are fisherman and there are anglers. Some guys go for numbers and keep everything they catch and some guys go for size and let everything go. There is no right or wrong way. I try to make every trip a good memory for whoever is with me and most of my best fish memories have some big fish pics to go with them. I still enjoy catching small fish but even if I hammer em all day, the memory won’t stick with me very long unless I hang a big fish or 2. Nothing like hanging a toad to make you feel like a kid again and burn a good memory into the brain. texas

There is a fine line between fishing and floating around like an idiot!!

I rarely fish for anything but flatheads when I target catfish. So I’m fishing for big fish with big baits. Except you catch 50lbers on 3” bluegill and scratch your head when you catch a 5 lber on a bluegill 8” long.

If I’m going with a rod and reel I am usually after eater size fish. But if im running lines then im usually targeting yellas with live bait and im after the biggest ones i can find.

I do want to eventually set up for big fish on rod and reel. Just havent yet.

and some people fish for numbers and only keep some of the fish, and some people go for size, and keep the smaller ones they catch anyways.
