Thanks for the update. Just installed mine this weekend and did notice the R2D2 effect. I'll update the software as I thought it was from compass placement which brings up a question - Where have you mounted your compass? I noticed on a Lowrance YouTube video that they had it pretty close to the trolling motor on the front bow of the boat but the installation instructions say it needs to be 2" away.

Thanks Grout Scout. I guess distance doesn't matter that much as I know you have had it for a while. Meant to say 2 feet not 2" (inches). I'll update the software.

Does the Ghost or the Garmin come with self deploy? No, they do not. Only the Minn Kota Ulterra does that I'm aware of.

Thanks Grout Scout. I guess distance doesn't matter that much as I know you have had it for a while. Meant to say 2 feet not 2" (inches). I'll update the software. Mine works great here, might be best to tape it down & test before drilling holes all over the place though. Lots of guys are putting it to the left of the pedal, under the mount when stowed. Make sure you do both (2) calibrations, I didn’t do that when I first installed mine and it went nuts on occasion.
