Ok, so this isn't about sunfish and has nothing to do with fishing. Sue me.

It has been a long time since I have seen one of these. I was doing my daily 5 mile walk (can't go to the gym these days) and saw this cute little thing sunning on the gravel next to the road. Just had to take a pic of him and then sent him (her?) on their way to do whatever important horned toad things it had to do for the day. I don't know about the rest of you but I always try to take time to appreciate the little things in life.

Nice! I haven't seen one in years. I know TCU and TP&W have a program going to try and bring them back.

I love those little toads. I didn't know there were any left in Texas. Story was the fire ants wiped them out. Thanks for posting flags.

There are bunches around Bracketville on Ft Clark.

Used to find the young all the time in my backyard.

Very Cool...I played with those guys on the farm as a kid...My understanding is that their main food source was cut ants, and when we virtually wiped them out...so went the toads.

Oh no...you picked up a Texas endangered species lol. It is always great to see those little guys. They used to be all over the place in the DFW area.
