Highway 21 that crosses Toledo Bend by Pendleton Harbor is closing except for trucking and essential services. I have noticed the drop in guys coming to Rayburn from Louisiana in the past week and a half. Hopefully things get better soon.

they announced it yesterday. closed to all non-essential traffic. I imagine that's going to become the norm in several places here shortly.

I think it's just to try and keep people from traveling obviously cause I know some guys who went across this morning with no issues. One dps at the bridge just sitting there watching traffic go by

I would love to see someone challenge in court the authority of a Governor to restrict all people from another state, not just the sick, from entering. I would also like to see the Supreme Court rule on his authority to order everyone who does enter to quarantine for 14 days. These aren't the least restrictive measures possible.

I bet there will be some legal cases challenging this when the dust settles...I bet we also see a push for county and city governments not to have such broad powers like this as well.

I've been here in Deep East Texas for about 7 weeks, camping on Sam Rayburn. I'm really surprised at the give a [censored] attitude that people coming into the the park have. Most are coming up from the tri-angle of Se Texas to get way from it for a couple days. Then go back. ):

"This is a good idea to keep everyone safe" has nothing to do with this. We live under a Constitution, at least we used to. Government either has authority to do something or it doesn't. Good idea or bad idea is irrelevant.

That's how questions of constitutionality are supposed to be determined.

Sure are a lot of "sheep" dying ! Lots easier to not take chances. I saw a Sabine County Sheriffs order to close the bridge Sunday morning to Louisiana cars coming over.
