The video IslandJim posted looks like it would work great and has less limitations than this one but you still have to lift a loaded kayak. This is just another option and pretty cool.

That is slicker than owl snot! If I had a scupper cart, this is what I would do. Crazy cool!

Scupper carts are good for creating cracks and leaks that can be hard to find and repair.

Only way to use a scupper cart is with a completely unloaded kayak.
The seat a paddle and maybe a rod and reel or two and that is it.
Load that kayak down and pull the kayak over rough pavement or rocky uneven ground you are just asking for stress cracks to show up.

Jimbo I agree. I think the same goes for Boondox.

I just lift my PA14 over my head and carry it like a real man.

I received the ctug cart today and assembled it . It seems to be real sturdy but with the cold temps today I didn't get to try it out . I need to drag my kayak's from the garage to the pond which is about 100 yards of rough drive way then over the pasture . I'm hoping it wasn't a waste of money . I really wanted landing gear but with my off brand kayaks I couldn't figure out which landing gear would be semi universal .

Rappcon, the C-Tug does indeed use straps. I think it's a great piece of equipment. None of my kayaks are built to use scupper-mounted carts. The Hobies are; there may be others but I'm not aware of any offhand. I use the C-Tug on my three kayaks and my SoloSkiff. I really like that it disassembles quickly and easily and stows out of the way in a hatch.

Good to know. I suspect I'll pick one up soon.

PA14 with Landing Gear, wouldn't have it any other way. Spectacular addition and not difficult to install. Would do it again in a heartbeat. No strap on carts for me any longer. A Titian isn't exactly a touring kayak. You'll like the Landing Gear.

I love the C-Tug on every yak I have had except the PA12.

I went with the Hobie Cart with big tires on it and it was easy to move that way. cheers
