Made a quick trip to the Dunlap River Bottom. Still a very sad site with the docks being completely out of the water and some past great fishing spots gone. I fished a couple of the deep holes and did manage to catch a few nice bass. Biggest was just under 4 lbs. Also caught a nice Channel Cat on a Gulp Alive Minnow-Chartreuse. Rounding out the catch was a few Bluegill in the 7 to 8 inch range. Before the dam break I was catching nice Redbreast this time of year. Did not catch any this trip. Saw a few other Kayak Anglers and we exchanged some fishing information. Getting some fishing time in is always a good thing.

Nice post Curtis. I was able to fish Dunlap once last week and did not do any good. Like you stated, plenty of good spots have vanished.

Yeah, no jet fleas and wave makers, but I see quite a few yaks out there when I go.
