Anybody been up there fishing? Thinking about heading up there next week and try to get on the smallmouths.

Fishing is tough. Lake is a mud hole since they started releasing water. Little mineral may be cleaner than the rest. If thereโ€™s wind you mind find a few smallies along the bluffs. Lots of spawning going on too.

If you can't find em wind em.

We caught 1 almost everywhere we went last week NOT fishing for SMB or LMB, and all in places they should've have been, sandy banks, under isolated willow trees in dead bushes etc. Here is one of the biggest, wont say how big to keep the arse clowns at bay, but it was a goodun. [Linked Image]

I would use the dam ramp with the lake as high as it is

They are there for sure. My daughter caught this one on a cold rainy day a few weeks back.

I've caught a lot of small mouths in all the years I lived in Kansas but have to say the colors on that fish are amazing.
