KN95 masks are going for a fortune. 3M was selling them overseas instead of here. We're pretty much SOL. Capitalism! The TFF’s resident punk speaks again... Am I wrong? Many people here have commented about how China is producing so many of the goods/drugs/medical supplies we need, and hope that those manufacturing jobs return to the USA after the virus situation has declined. Well, China did not steal those jobs, capitalism and companies gave those jobs away. I've also said US companies are loyal to their profits and stockholders, not the country. Am I wrong?

I always have masks and glove in the garage. Just brought them in the house for the wifey. She gets the two N95 masks and I get the ninja Venom Steel Carbon Filter Dust Masks.

I read where 3M’s largest N95 plant is in China. They’ve been producing masks but China government is not letting them export the masks. 3M must sell them into local Chinese markets.
Another reason to manufacture in the US. You are correct start making them here in the US

3M does make N95 mask in the USA as well as China. The controversy with them was that it was discovered they were still filling orders from the USA plants to Canada and Latin America when some thought they should be keeping all their product in the USA. They did redirect a large number of mask from their China plant to the USA.

I wore one to the grocery store today and was confronted by a girl who asked me where I got it and told me “those only belong in hospitals”. Crazy times on many levels!

I got loads of them for work purposes from before all this mess. I'm not wearing one though, and don't plan to. I figure if I'm going to die from a [censored] little virus, then that's what I deserve....and I'm probably better off given the current outlook of the world in general.
