OP zachary00 Angler Z Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 351 The still conservative part of...	My transducer is causing a rooster tail behind my boat when running on plane. Is that normal or is it to low. It's for a hummingbird helix with si/di if that matters.

TFF Celebrity W Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 5,099 Charlottesville, Va	Yes it is normal if you have the transducer installed correctly to give you on-plane depth/2D sonar. 1/2 the thickness of the transducer below the hull bottom as shown in the instructions. I installed one for my totalscan and it really helped One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!
