I'm enjoying this series. I use "spikes" for sunfish bait. Which is the maggot of the blue bottlefly. Awesome bluegill bait
in a number of ways. They love it. Plus they are hard for the perch to get them off the hook.

Do you think this soldier fly process would work in Texas ?

I sure hope that Walmart never stops selling worms!

GIbson's in Kerrville has small red wigglers....I prefer those to the GIANT canadian worms available most places.

@banker-always fishing The last time I was at Wal-mart those worms were so sick looking. Maybe your Wal-mart is better. and in these times it's best that we start doing some things ourselves.

So far they are in pretty good shape. However things can change fast. Back up plan is to use Gulp Alive products and start using Gar 1970 Leo and Pot licker's Yesenia 's sunfish jigs. The "Bait of Champions" must survive!
