yes using hair rig with method feeder,sweet corn,jello powder,oatmeal.Wish I could make it turtle proof.THANKS for the encouragement.

Perfect! You can "turtle-proof" it by using different hookbaits. Tigernuts and plastic corn stand up much better to turtles than softer baits like sweetcorn or bread. Unfortunately there's no way to avoid turtles, especially in ponds in the warmer months. You can try moving to a larger body of water as well, usually you'll catch less turtles in lakes.

Thanks for the much appreciated advice.Do I still use the method feeder with the tiger nuts or plastic corn on the hook.or chum the area and use weight and hook bait suggested without hair rig.Any of your experienced advice appreciated.

Of course use the method feeder and packbait! You don't need packbait to catch fish but it certainly helps speed up bites. You can use the plastic corn straight on the hook but I would continue using hair rigs. Hair rigs give a much better hookup ratio and a better hookhold as well! It just takes a bit of time to get familiar tying them. Chumming the area would help - I usually chum for 3 days before fishing.
