I've never been to LBJ so when Phil called me up to fish a Bass Champs I was all in. We had no idea where to go or what to do but we figured we'd give it a shot. I figured guys would like to see how we caught them and how we attacked a lake with no practice, we just went fishing!!!!

That’s what I’m thinking, didn’t practice and have never been there and ended up in 2nd. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t need any pointers.

I've fished her twice. Never saw the areas you guys were fishing. I always stayed up by the dam going from dock to dock. Most people catch numbers of small bass, with a decent one thrown in the mix here and there. When champs started going there a few years ago, 13-15 pounds would win it.

Todd, thanks for sharing and congrats. Very interesting to see how you guys had success. We finished 8th but did most of our damage offshore in 12-15'. I was pretty amazed that you were able to get a frog bite. And we could only find males on beds so we abandoned that pattern. Very cool. Thanks again.

I know but there are always other ways to catch them, since I've never been there before I figured someone would say oh yea I catch them there all the time down that bank or something. I'm sure we missed some things I just always find it interesting to hear other perspectives.

You are killing me! That was a great video. It confirms what I already knew-I suck at fishing. I have had undoubtedly the worst year ever on LBJ this year. Corona has me locked down here (dangit!) and I have struggled mightily the last couple of weeks. Thanks for sharing it.

In our club, LBJ is known as "my lake". For some reason I can't do no wrong no matter what time of year. I had 23 lbs in our last tournament and I would post that picture but I don't know how to do it on this new laptop, still learning. If we lived on LBJ my wife would never see me, and could be a good thing.
