..at least I assume you are a dentist due to your signature.
Given that brushing your teeth, flossing, and using mouthwash is important for a ton of reasons. I'd like to know if any of these normal oral health measures will kill COVID-19 that might be in the mouth?

From the hip, let me tell you what my understanding is. SARS CoV 2, the nasty bugger that causes Covid 19, is an envelope virus which means it’s pretty fragile. It dies when it’s exposed to soap and water and since toothpaste has soap (detergent technically) in it to make it lather (typically seen as sodium laureate or sodium lauryl sulfate), I’m guessing it wouldn’t survive the process. Most of the alcohol based mouthwashes I would assume would kill it also. However..... I’d be much more concerned that you’d already inspired some into your lungs and that’s where the virus throws a party. Please don’t hold me to any of this. Jackson

Regular Listerine kills everything! There's your answer to everything - gargle with Listerine, swallow 1x, then pour some in a squirt bottle and blow some up your nose and breathe real deep.
Grateful for every sunrise and sunset I get to witness. - Jason

I use it to clean my ear wax and keep my feet feeling fresh while I trim my toenails in the wal mart parking lot. great stuff.

Why do alligators have so many teeth?
You know why they call it a toothbrush and not a teethbrush?

Listerine: can it be substituted in a recipe that calls for apple cider vinegar?
Trivia: For what reason is that iconic mouthwash named "Listerine"? (dentists, please give others a shot first....)
