I have heard of catfish and bass eating mice, rats, frogs, baby ducks, and salamanders too. Just goes to show ya fish in general will eat just about anything if it swims in front of their face.

Yes they do eat or try to eat Snakes. I caught one that had 1/2 a Water Snake hanging out of his mouth, he had the other 1/2 in his belly. But he still bit a Catalpa worm. Go figure ?

I think those are Brown Diamond Back Water Snakes. Yes Sir Catfish can be very aggressive.
