Serious question. If a coworker who's office is right across the hall, had been off for a week and comes in and has a significant cough?

Serious question. If a coworker who's office is right across the hall, had been off for a week and comes in and has a significant cough? That person needs to submit to a risk assessment conducted by HR or your site safety personnel. Where have they been? How have they traveled? Have they been in contact with anyone known to have COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms. If they traveled at all, been in contact with anyone, or show any other symptoms like a fever, body aches, sore throat, headache, they should self isolate. If it's a no to all that, I'd ask that they have their temperature taken every day prior to coming into the office until the cough subsides.

They've mandated that everybody does a fever check every morning minimum 2 hours before coming in.

I wouldn’t go near anybody with an underlying health problem for awhile.

I would ask their supervisor if they have been tested for covid 19 and if not then why is someone with a cough being allowed to possibly infect the entire office.
then turn and walk away while flippin them off, that may just be me though.

From what I understand. If someone has concerns they can stay home and it not be held against them by their employer.
