I am leery of buffets but I'm not worried about anything I cook at my house. The only thing I could be concerned about in the grocery store is produce. Oranges are better than apples because they have a peel. Of course you need to peel them wearing gloves and then burn the gloves before you eat it. I will probably lose weight or get sick.

It's pointless unless you sterilize
every
single
thing
every
single
time.
Also it's important to note that short of an open flame there really is no such thing as sanitized. There is just "less germs." Even a surgeons washed and disinfected hands still carry germs, they just carry less germs. It turns out less makes a big difference in post op infections. There's also a concept called viral load. That is, how sick you get is somewhat dependent on how much virus you got at once. If you get 1 viral particle, you may well get sick. That viral particle is subject to exponential growth though. That means it takes time to replicate itself enough to make you seriously ill. All that time buys your body time to create antibodies that can clear the virus. Conversely if you get a giant face full of virus (like some doctors are getting), the exponential growth of the virus starts out from a much bigger base. That means it takes much less time for you to get really sick and your body doesn't have as much time to make antibodies. Thus your chances of death are higher. To be clear, this is just a theory, but I've seen it talked about by real scientists and doctors. So I don't think it's pointless.

I suppose you could put everything on a stick. Burger on a stick would be ok. French fries on a stick is going to be tougher. Oreos could be made with a stick.
How about a jalapeno on a stick?

Or you could just wash your hands before you eat. Something to think about: If you have germs on your hands and turn water on with the water handle, then after washing, how do you turn the water off.?
