04' Yammy sho 225, This is an intermittent problem that seems to be happening more often lately.. When I get on the peddle, the boat normally jumps out of the hole. Occasionally, It will start to rev up then fall back down to idle, I might repeat this 2 or 3 times, until it catches just right and I can get planed out. Normally, If I can get to this point, I'm good to go, but, this Weekend, It started slowing down on it's own without me changing the pressure on the peddle. Is it possible to have a stretched throttle cable that sometime works? just seems weird that it will hook-up sometimes.. Opinions are welcome!!

It’s a fuel issue.
Replace the filters and have the injectors cleaned.

Yamaha motors are really finicky about fuel related problems and the filtering systems are usually the culprit.
Not maintaining the fuel system can cost you a power head as well.

Check you fuel line assembly for hose degradation.

Wayne Do yourself a favor and heed the warnings or the cost of an "oops" could get very painful. For one or more of the many reasons brought up, you are experiencing fuel starvation, which can cook a powerhead in a blink if it goes too far. With your motor being an '04, addressing every point mentioned wouldn't be a bad idea regardless, and cost pennies compared to a new powerhead.
