Might be so but it won't last forever. The only thing I don't particularly like about the Park Prairie ramp is that it can get real slick with the algae. Oak Thicket can be too but it is no where as steep as Park Prairie. A few years back I personally witnessed a 2012 Ram 1500 start spinning and got pulled completely under water when trying to pull the attached boat out of the water. I think if I remember correctly that particular 2012 1500 Ram was not equipped with a slip differential. Any way I was already launched, but I do remember that I almost busted my keister from the wet ramp algae when I got in to take my boat off of the trailer. I don't know for a fact but I was told that was not the first time that happened at that ramp.
I only launch at Oak Thicket, because of the angle of the ramp doesn't require me to back so far in the water. Park Prairie I have to back in till my front tires are in the water. I witnessed a guy in an older Ford diesel try to launch a sailboat at Park Prairie and ended up with his truck floating. Engine ran the whole time. When he was pulled out, the cab was completely full of water. I'll try to find the videos and post them.

Yes. Have to step out in the water. The ramp is too flat. I haven't launched there since 2003. That's what caused the guy with the sailboat problems, he back in so far that when the sailboat floated off the trailer, his truck was so deep he floated and couldn't get any traction to pull out. Some guy had a chain and they had to pull him out. He had already floated off the side of the ramp.

The guy who had the Dodge Ram was not so lucky. His whole truck was under water by about 3 feet. You could make out the headlights and also the lights that were on the top of the cab. He had to have a tow truck to get it out. Who swam down to hook up the tow chain I do not know.
Might have to hit the other park.
