WATER LEVEL is 1077.14
Friday, March 27, 2020 7:15:00 PM Level is 39.86 feet below full pool of 1,117.00

Today I spent half the day looking for bed fish and checking grass. I found both. I caught fish to 6.4lbs and several others 2 - 4lbs but unfortunately the grass is disappearing fast. The water is dropping so fast some of the banks are green. Not long ago the outside grass was 20ft. Now its 8-10. Where it stops no one knows. Several beds are in less that a foot of water. Males are holding tight but its doubtful mom shows up. I did see several deeper. Hopefully the eggs will hatch and run. Reports at the tackle store have been good and it seems most plastics are working. Texas rig lizards have been good for me as have weightless worms. I caught a few on jerkbaits and squarebills. It all depends on the location & depth. I didnt look deep today but with the water dropping Im sure several fish are deep & suspended. As always find the bait find the bass..The scheduled tournaments for April consist of the Border Anglers tournaments April 4th &11th, the Texas Team Trail April 18th, & Bass Champs 25th. Personally I hope they happen but its currently unknown. The Corona can take a hike! Few pictures below - the 6.4 today, someone sent me a funny Tpaper issue, and the incorrect way to launch a boat... www.amistadbass.com Please call or text if youre interested in a guide trip. Thanks, Stan

Was on Amistad last weekend a few miles west of Box Canyon on the Mexico side. Caught more bass in 2 days then I have in the past 2 years. Lots of dinks but a suprising number of 3 and 4 pounders.

They cut releases from Amistad yesterday to about 1800 CFS..

And increased releases from Falcon to way the hell up there.. About 10,000 CFS.. And we are dropping pretty hard right now..

No one can tell me what is going to happen for sure..

Or at least they won't..

Water is the new gold... Are there many boats on Falcon right now? Airforce ramp on Amistad was full yesterday. I saw several out of state vehicles. I met up with a guy on the lake that is in town for a month from Ca. I just heard Washington State closed all public ramps same as New Mexico.

There were about a dozen at county yesterday. About the same at State Park I hear.. But there are some winter Texans down here that are not going home.. Just yet.. And a few that came to escape the big city..

My son and I went out with Stan today. Had a great time and caught a bunch of fish.

Stan was helpful and knowledgeable, and we will go out with him again.

If you get the chance, get a hold of Stan and go fishing...you will have a good time.

sb
