A local guide is reporting that Oak Thicket Park at Fayette will close today or Saturday. Park Prairie Park is still open. Call before going!

They are not closing, all a myth. The campgrounds might be closing, but the ramps will remain open.

They are not closing, all a myth. The campgrounds might be closing, but the ramps will remain open. That's not true. I literally just called them 10 minutes ago and talked to an actual person. Oak Thicket is 100% closed, including the boat ramp. Call and ask yourself. I don't know 100% for sure on Park Prairie, but given they are both run by the same management company i'm 99% sure it's also closed. There is only one number for both parks.

I just came from Oak Thicket (10:30 am) and the park manager told me the ramp will be closed this evening until when ever. The camping area will be closed Sunday after the last camper leaves. I do not know about park prairie. There were trailers in the parking lot but it will probably close also, LCRA controls both parks.

While LCRA owns the parks, they have leased the operations to a vendor, and the vendor makes the call.
