the whole park, including boat ramp.

Effective March 27, 2020, Martin Creek Lake State Park is closed until further notice. The current situation is related to COVID-19 and has resulted in the inability for park staff to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff. Although there have been no confirmed or presumed cases of the virus in the park, the site no longer has the capacity to ensure the necessary safeguards.
**All camping and day use reservations made for March 27th through April 30, 2020, will be notified about refunds. Check the Texas State Parks Alert Map or the park's website regularly for the latest information about the status of parks.
Thank you!

I have to get my camper out by noon tomorrow. I was really enjoying isolating at the lake the past 9 days.

Went to pines today. Busiest I've ever seen the ramp with the exception of a tournament but we were able to keep our distance

There have been two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Rusk County. Two.

As someone said, the reaction to this is crazy.

With a Reproduction coefficient of 3, two people on average give it to 6 others (that you may not know about for another week). Those 6, meanwhile, will each give it to 3, on average, for 18 more. Do that just 10 times (that takes about 10 weeks) and you find yourself with ~60,000 cases. Ever studied or analyzed exponential expansion? It's a b&$% to stop when the carriers don't (yet) know they are infected.

I was told too many people gathering in larger groups than allowed. You just cant fix stupid. Someone always has to screw it up for others.

Actually I made a perfect score (36) in math on the ACT coming out of high school, graduated from college with a 4.0 GPA as an Accounting major, and have been working in the field for almost 17 years. You might say I dabble in math every once in a while.

You can still launch on the backside on the old dirt ramp.
