My son and I put in at Mccowns today, March 26, at 7am. Fished fill 10am, caught out striper limit, 22"-24" lengths. Caught no small fish, lost 3 due to bad swivels. All caught trolling with umbrella rigs, using large jig/6" silver flutes, and no. 6 chartreuse swim baits.

How much did it cost you to launch . I called and couldn't get anybody to answer the phone . Thanks .

I think Mccowns is a State park. If so its like $5 to use the ramp. Also if it is a state park there will not be anyone at the office until all this mess is over. I bought the Texas State park pass. Its like 75$ and I can use the ramps fee. I just put my pass number on the paper work.

I have plans to move to Hill county when I retire and hope to start fishing more. I have fished Texoma for over 40 years.

McCown is not a State Park!
it's a C.O.E.
Corps of engineers park.
