I sold my 735 champion last year and miss it. There are a few Sierras floating around how does that rod compare to the champion in the same action? Looking to buy if anyone has any collecting dust

I have 2 Sierra 735’s. They are perfect football jig rods for me.(1/2oz in 15ft or more) I’d think they have a little softer tip as compared to champion. I don’t have a direct comparison, but the champions I do have all have a stiffer/faster tip in their respective powers. If your looking for a flipping stick, I’d look at a different model. They are plenty sensitive, and excel in deeper water in my opinion.

This is pretty spot on. I have both a Savvy (now Sierra) and a Champion 735. The rods are really close in action with the Champ being more sensitive with a little faster tip. The power seems about the same to me. I use the Savvy for frogs and the Champ for a split shot rig.
