I am hoping to find some people to join me on a trip to the Grand Mesa in western Colorado. In the past I would rent a home in Delta or Cedaredge then day trip to the lakes and streams on the mesa, the Gunnison and other areas within within reach. Late August to mid September is the time frame. I like to stay and fish for 7 or 8 days, because weather can hinder or alter fishing some days. I am open for camping lake side with travel trailer or whatever we as a group work out. If there is enough interest, some could fly to Grand Junction then be picked up at the airport. If you are at all interested please speak up, I bet we can work within your wants....Lawton

I have been working on a driving plan during these stay home days, I want to explore and fish southern Colorado for a few days on my trip to the grand mesa. The Chama river around the Insertion point area, the Conejos from 17 to Plutoro reservoir, and maybe Rio De Los Pinos. Just dragging my feet a little on the way, probably no more than 1 1/2 days al told. I haven't had many inquiries as of yet, and the few I have had were non committal. General plan is to drive to the Grand Mesa area ( after playing in the Southern Colorado Rivers) rent a vacation home for roughly 8 days at lower altitudes, yet within easy reach of the mesa. Day trip from the vacation home to the mesa lakes and or the Gunnison river and other spots within 100 miles or so. I basically need one person to ride with me and split expenses. If we can get more involved then the overall cost will be less, mostly due to the shared expense of a vacation home. I have done this trip 3 times recently, and have a general budget and itinerary worked up. If you are interested PM me and I will send you what information I have...Lawton

I was hoping that bringing this up to the top that it might bring more interest. I have been chomping at the bits and thinking and planning about this trip for the last 3 months. The last time included a guy that responded on this forum. We traveled together and split expenses, which amounted to $1,100 each all inclusive for 8 days fishing. Inclusive means ,gas, hotels, meals/food, license for two states, trinkets and beads. No guaranties on exact cost, I am only expecting you to split gas, and overnight rentals .I have a general drive plan/and cost idea/budget. Let me know that you are interested and I will send you my ideas ...Lawton
