What do you guys use for a Spinnerbaits close to docks heavy cover?
Length brand action? I only use 1/2or 3/4 ounce .
Was looking at a Dobyns Fury 664 heavy action.

I'm still using a 6'6" G Loomis GL3 MH that I bought in 1998. I can roll cast a 3/4 ounce spinnerbait in heavy cover and hardly even move the rod.

Loomis SBR 913 I think it is. Maybe 813. It's one of their older red rods. 6'9" perfect for 1/2oz blades. Little heavy for 3/8.

Dobyns Sierra 683C. If you can find one at Academy they were slashed to $99.95 from $179.95. Harder to find now.

I use a 6’10” MH/F Falcon “Finesse Jig” rod and a Curado DC reel.

Anything around 7ft that’s MH power with a fast tip. Now when I have to be really accurate, like fishing in marinas for example, I go down to a 6’6 MH rod.

I throw spinnerbaits year round --- probably one of my favorite techniques .
For " shorter throw " ( IE , weed edges , pockets , wood , docks etc... ) --- I like a 6'6" to 6'10" length , medium heavy --- with a med/fast tip . 12 to 15 lb test depending on water clarity . I feel that set up allows me to more accurately cast to exact spots and the medium/fast tip allows me to control a softer entry in the water --- typically throwing 3/8 to 1/2 ounce .
For the "longer throws " and deeper water , I like a 7'2" to 7'6" , medium heavy rod with a fast tip . . 15lb test , I use this when I am going on deeper weed edges , rock piles and when I want to to fish a spinnerbait with a more " rise and fall" technique . This is for 1/2 to 1ounce baits
In both cases , I use only Shimano reels -- Curado's and /or Chronarchs

I have an old Hendrix 6'6" MH rod he made for throwing spinnerbaits. It got a refresh from Chris at Caddo Custom Rods last year. Still a great rod.

I use Falcon Low Riders. For 1/2 and 3/4 oz I use 6-10 Heavy Action. For the 3/8 oz I use the Low Rider Finesse Jig Special. I had a real good spinnerbait bite going on Rayburn using the Santone M series this January. These rods seemed to make the roll casting really easy with those weights.

I would ask PicoPerch. He’s the best Spinnerbait fisherman I’ve ever seen

In my humble opinion the the Falcon Lowrider All Around is a really good SB rod. Good price point. Handles 1/2oz SB's really well.
