Yesterday was a good day...stock market up, no one I know has the Corona-virus, the lake was open, & the fish were biting. Met up with Doc (Doctorxring) & Fred (Rionator) for a fun filled day. My Son-in-law was supposed to go but had to cancel last minute. Water level was up some, but still about a foot low. The water temp ranged from 75 - 80 degrees depending on location & time of day. I ended up the day with 50-60 sunnies & 25-30 bass. No big bass, but lots of 1-2 pounders. Most fish caught in the 8-10 foot range. While my day was good, Doc & Fred flat out tore em up. Cant wait to see pics & get their numbers. Most bass caught in trees & most sunnies caught 10-20 yards out off the rip rap. The vast majority of sunfish areas are still not holding any sunfish...like the redbeds, but hopefully it wont be long now. Most sunfish caught on Gulp Alive minnows plus a good number of bass. Also caught quite a few on night crawlers. Stay safe out there ![Linked Image]

Vogey I saw you out there yesterday. Or at least I was pretty sure I recognized the boat and hat. We ended up fishing together at end of day by dam. I caught a couple in the reeds but only place I could really catch them was around the dam area near intake. And even then it had to be slow and small. Bite was very subtle. I caught about 25 in the last couple of hours.

Day of Days !

The bigguns were out and about yesterday on Fayette. Fred and I fished between 8AM and 4PM. We caught
over a 100 perch between us and number of real beauties. Fred caught about 15 bass as "by catch" and I caught
maybe a half dozen. A wonderful day on the water !

Good job guys. I went today and targeted bass. I was going to break out the blue gill gear but did not. I was waiting to see that you Steve and your side kick were catching them. I caught several bass but really missed out by someone beating me twice to two different offshore spots that were fishing for bass. These two guys found them just stacked up. I watched two different guys catch about 20 each on their respective spots when I got skunked. Just glad they were not in the 3 to 4 lb class that I got into last week haha.

There were a bunch and I mean a bunch of boats on the water today. Thought I was fishing the weekend Haha. Most of the people were like me fishing by themselves and several said they were keeping with goverrnments request of "social distancing" during our countries national health emergency. Im not knocking people fishing with a close friend or family member for sure but I was disappointed in seeing one of the regular guides and I think one other with people in their boat. I guess they are about making money. Anyway the blue gill gear will be out next week when I go.

Laker...I believe there were 3 total on tuesday. Mine, Docs, and Barbarians. Looked to me like all others were after bass. As far as wed goes...maybe Tom can take a guess...

Thanks Chuck, Bones & Tom for the comments.

I don't think I saw anybody. I was over by the intake and there were a couple of boats camped out along the intake coal pile side. I was fishing the flat just opposite of them. I was going to go over if blue gill were being caught but it looked like they were just bass fishing so I did not. You blue gill guys seem like a much friendlier bunch and our willing to share the bite. Bass guys are definitely less sharing. However I did fish within talking distance of a bass guy and we shared the area and the techniques we were using. He thanked me for sharing with him when he left about an hour later for another spot. That was nice of him.
