It is just 10 days but still a dumb idea. Local people fishing the lake are not going to catch or spread the virus out fishing. I could see the argument for blocking people from out of the area from fishing the lake. They won't spread it at the lake but they could spread it at hotels, restaurants and stores. Hopefully the hysteria dies down in a couple weeks. Started out schools were to be closed and athletics suspended until March 15th. Then March 29th and now NO sports until at least May 4th and school closures until Late April localy and statewide til the 3rd. So, color me skeptical that it is JUST 10 days! Every time we turn around....more panic. I repeat. Stupid. sb

SO....follow my line of thinking here.
In 5 trips to Amistad I got skunked. (Jan - Feb 2020)
6th trip to Amistad my son and I combine for 8 fish in just over 1 1/2 hour of fishing (Mar 23)
Federal Gov't closes Amistad (Mar 24)
Coincidence?
I think not. They are out to get me.
sb

I guess now other lakes will follow. Like you said grout, totally ridiculous!!!!! You got to keep in mind that this is the a government agency that you are dealing with. They take a one size fits all approach to everything. Thats why they are so very inefficient. Now I will say this. My son is a physician and has first hand knowledge what this [censored] can do to your lungs if you are one of the unfortunate people that can't fight it off. He said it is an extremely painful death. I view it that its not the end of the world that I can't fish a particular lake for the next couple of months. Look at the positive side. With all those large tournaments being shut down everywhere and fishing pressure minimized, the non tournament fisherman will benefit.

Ramps on Amistad are opened back up. Evidently Judge Owens doesn't quit have the authority he thinks he does.

Friend was turned away yesterday (26th) at Diablo and Box Canyon by Park Service. Friend of his with an RV at Rough Canyon was awakened by a Ranger at Midnight on the 25th and told he needed to be gone by 8 AM or he would be locked inside the facility. Didn’t seem to be much of a notification this was coming. Imagine pulling a boat from Roswell to fish Big Friendly and being turned away.

The way they are pulling water not much lake gonna be left 10 days from now.....just sayin True! I had to go to Del Rio yesterday and today and it looked like the lake dropped about 2' overnight. State game wardens are frequenting the 406 pretty often.
