Got to love God's sense of humor. I had a 3 day weekend last week and watched it pour rain, storm and cold snap... this was after my vacation week of the 9th, which was not much different.
I am working this week (TX Whiskey is making hand sanitizer for hospitals, first responders, etc. and blessed to be able to do it), and watching the beautiful weather... Only to see forecast of 80% storms and cool front for this Saturday! Got to smile!
So, those of you lucky enough to be fishing... where should I start looking this weekend this crappie. Need to put some in the freezer! Hopefully up near Gun Barrel City end of lake, but have boat will travel if wind is not too bad. Has the water cleared up any? Will the sun this week warm it enough so that the 70 degree forecast for Sat. does not mess it up?
Everyone out there hug your loved ones and take care of each other! Stay safe, follow the safety rules.
Thanks in advance!

Same boat as you are in. Can't seem to get a break in the weather or work load. It has to get better you would think.

I would look shallow and would not worry about the front. Dirty water warms up better too.

You need to be looking at docks and shallow brush, as they are starting to produce nicely.

Heard rumors of ramps closed at the lake.

Last weekend I started shallow with no luck then got into them under wide docks in 10-15 FOW with the bigger fish near the bottom on the deeper side. I caught 18 off 3 docks.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
Been really busy last couple of days. Over 500 gallons of hand sanitizer made and packaged - all donated to local DFW medical and first responder groups. Planning to do at least that much more next week.
I am ready to chase some crappie this weekend! Have my boat at the dock - in the water already, so even if ramps are closed, I can get by that. Would think that being in a boat on the water would still be ok... only a couple of people in the boat, can space out. And it is family - my kids, so they are living with me anyway.
Take care - best wishes to all.
Keep the tips coming - I need all the help I can get!
