Isn’t that what I reported last week? Could have saved you a trip...Little Elm is still the only ramp open.

Don't need to bother closing Lake Park. It's underwater.

I live half a mile from Lake Park and it is usually one of the first to close when the lake gets up. The entire park was designed back when the lake level was kept 7 ft lower. I’m hoping the City of Lewisville can get the park right when they get the $5.5 million renovation complete. Supposed to be renovating it to attract more fishing tournaments and cater to shore and boat anglers. Maybe they can make it nice like Little Elm did but I wouldn’t bet on it. Instead of building a high water ramp and a nice dock that actually get used by paying patrons, most likely they will blow their money on walking and bike paths that 1 or 2 people use and folks on bikes and on foot don’t even have to pay to enter the park. Makes no since catering to the people who don’t pay and not taking care of us boaters who’s $ helps keep the park running. It would help if someone on that planning board actually owned a boat or used the park.

El Gato your post is dead on. I too live 1/2 mile from there, it seems the Park Department could care less about Lake Park. The erosion issues, outdated courtesy docks, & the general way it's managed is terrible, with no signs of ever changing. I've complained to them so much throughout the last few years without success, I have low to little expectations that anything will change.

Same thing at Grapevine . They only want to spend money on walking and bike trails and the bikers don't ride on the trails they ride in the middle of the rode.
