How has the Shelter In Place effected you and/or your job?
For myself, the studio is now closed until it's over . That's about a $2,500 loss a month to my income. Thankfully that's my 2nd job and doesnt effect paying the bills.
And you?

Do you have a music studio? I’m glad you still have income available.

I’m still working, for now, luckily. But we have a lot of new Rona protocols to follow now which is making some aspects of my job abnormal.

Both offices are considered "essential services" under the Denton County order.

I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go ...

I'm just still working and glad I get out of the house

Glad the weather finally decided to dry out and get warmer

About to tear up some bass on Grapevine and Lewisville...…..

No changes that I can't live with.

We had plenty of meats in the freezer and were able to get carrots, potatoes and onions on one grocery run. Just about out of fresh veggies after 2 weeks so I'm probably going to make a "seniors get in early" run tomorrow morning to try and fix that. My wife had to give up her quilt guild meetings plus another with an art group. I had to give up my Tuesdays at the Bar and Book at Lone Star Park - they shut down and most horse tracks in the country aren't running anyway.

We also had to give up meeting with our house church on Sundays, but we have set up Zoom meetings for an hour on Sundays so that keeps us connected online.

Our kids and grandkids have dropped by a few times for short visits. I hate not getting all the family time we had.

We'll get thru this!

Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

The university closed down my department on 3/17/20...I have been able to catch up on Dr G Medical Examiner, Paradise PD, Brooklyn 99, SuperStore, and some other shows...but I've lost a ton of income.

I'm considered critical so I work from home 12 hours a day. 5am to 5pm plus whenever needed. Salaried employee. No change for me yet. I know a ton of people who have lost their jobs and probably will not be called back anytime soon. The layoffs are fast but reemployment is always very slow. Companies will not rehire with the expectation things will be just like they were before the S.I.P. If things don't pick up quickly after the "Curve" has been flattened my services may no longer be needed. No sense keeping critical folks employed if nobody can pay the bill.

We are open considered part of supply chain for city services, but business is thin , holding on to my employees at 40 hours. Been working on the financial means to continue to do so.

Drying out will help us , our construction stuff has been murdered by Mother Nature as well.
