I live in Wylie, but have never been to fish on Lavon. I hear it is a great crappie lake. I want to do some social distancing and get out on the water sometime this week. Where would be the best place to fish? more than likely I will only have a kayak so a place close to a boat ramp would be ideal, but not necessary.

Has this Coronavirus had any impact on the parks and ramps? Are they still open on Lavon? I wanted to get out there this week myself.

All Corps of Engineers boat ramps are closed on Lavon.
Collin Park Marina is open and they charge a $6 entry fee. No boat ramp fee for launching kayaks so far.

That's what I'm afraid of.

It’s been a good crappie lake but it’s gonna be nearly impossible to fish until the water drops. You’ll have better luck over at hubbard right now, you can probably put in by 66 or maybe the kayak launch on miller and probably find some fish.
