Lake Lewisville, Since last Saturday I've cruised the entire lake. Went into hickory creek, up the Little Elm Fork at 380, down by 121 every branch just checking it out looking for fish. Had some dinks both whites and largemouth. The one thing I want to know is why do I see boats fishing the main body of the lake? Please indulge me, thanks to everyone that responds

There’s always fish on the main lake. Majority will be way up the creeks right now probably far beyond boat access

I used to have a good guide friend that gave me a solid piece of advice. He said "You know not all the fish go up the river to spawn, and even the ones that do often go at many different times". He would fish main lake all but maybe one week out of the year and never had a problem putting limits in the boat. It's not as easy in the spring but there will always be fish on the main lake.

I’m On a pretty good main lake bite right now. The creeks I’m fishing have been a little difficult with the high water but things are improving. Still lots of pre spawn fish ok main lake points and humps. Even a lot to be caught deep dead sticking. Get in contact with me if you want some advice you can use this week.

White bass need moving water to spawn and prefer a gravel type bottom. Those two factors can easily be replicated on main lakes. Look for wind blown points.
