Been having plenty of good days fishing the creeks. The bite has mainly been SUPER for the most part. There has been a couple of slow days mixed in. Fish are starting to move into shallower water and we are finding eggs in the female Bluegill. Bass are sitting on nest. Both Redbreast and Bluegill are getting ready for their first spawn. Fish are being caught in 2 to 4 feet of water holding by over hanging tree limbs. Myself, Steve, and Rick aka Catyakker are catching good numbers of BIG fish during the good days. We all have had HUGE bass winning the fight in other words breaking off or spitting out the baits. Fish are being caught on worms with both float and bottom techniques being used. Steve was using a plastic frog on the bass and several other spinner baits. Most of the fish were released but Steve kept a few for the dinner table. Catching some good quality fish with friends. It just don't get any better!



Side Note: Myself and Steve also fished a couple of hill country rivers and we are still catching plenty of Rainbow Trout! Catching March Rainbow Trout. It just don't get any better!

Great report Chuck. Took may Ultra Light Fly Rod and Hip Boots to the Creek today and tore the Redbreast up on 1" rubber worms. All the Redbreast were in the 7-9 inch range. The Sunfish were on their beds, and the beds were all over the place in thigh deep water. I reckon the spawn is getting underway on certain water bodies. And it's only going to get better.

Good report thanks for posting. There was not much activity in the shallows at Stillhouse this weekend. But with things heating up in your neck of the woods I bet this week the shallows come to life up this way.
