Awesome article. You and the biologists were right on with the amount of overs. Last year it seemed like 75% of the fish caught were between 22-28". I really think with another year of good rainfall during the spawn, we should be on for another great year of fishing.

Never fished Texoma.
Used to fish PK a lot for stripers back in the 90s, especially running the lights on docks Nov - Feb.
Would like to catch a few stripers again.

May have to go fish Texoma this year to get my striper fix. PK stripers are hard to come by after two years of floods and the flood gates being open for weeks.
If carey would catch some live shad he would have no problem catching those stripers after they go deep. They may not hit those swim bates but live shad wont go long without a taker.

Sir speaking to PK fishing almost exclusively I have been a guide for 26 years and been around guiding my entire life and I recently turned 45 years old I know what you’re referring to but I promise you there are times they will not take a live shad no matter how hard you try even ask Randy Wood and other live bait masters that you have encountered in your fishing. I never ever say I’m better or know more than anyone but I promise you I know these fish pretty good! Again I only encourage good fishing and good angling so if anyone takes it as negative you are wrong!
