I did some research on him because I haven't heard of him before and found out that he is just a left wing democrat alramist. He said if we don't do something drastic before April which is less than 10 days away, 480,000 people could die in the state of Texas because of the virus. Just another liberal democrat idiot. Early on in his career in Dallas he was quickly labeled as John Wylie Price's "water boy". That alone should tell you something about his character. He has no authority to give the order at all but the liberal media is running with the story. The media should be banned from reporting on the virus and leave it up to the medical field to keep people informed correctly,,not all this made up B/S by the liberal media to throw everyone into panic mode.

If he doesn’t have the authority, who does? Didn’t the governor himself say that he was leaving that authority to each county?

C'mon man, I don't want a shut down of all businesses by all means, and I think we have gone to far with some of the shut downs. However, he has no authority to do anything? I'm not a resident of Dallas but have a hard time believing the city is granting him a news conference if he doesn't have some input. Even if you are on the conservative side of this deal we need to be careful making definitive statements that might undermine your credibility to those who might not agree with you or be on the fence.
