 Packery Jetty Closed... and Beach Access?

Went out to Packery yesterday (3/22). Police kicked us out and taped off the jetty until further notice (it was crowded, and they were enforcing social distancing measures). Kudos to the CCPD for their work, they were all real cool about it. They said the beaches were still ok to go fishing but they immediately closed the access roads to the beach. Of course other beaches in the area are still open (PINS, Port Aransas beaches and I believe Mustang Island State Park is still open as well).

I read that it was re-opened today. Likely mainly the Spring Break kids refusing to not group up >10 people...

I read that it was re-opened today. Likely mainly the Spring Break kids refusing to not group up >10 people... Source? 5 hr drive for me, but I would love me some sheepshead. sb

Update On This: State Parks are closed, including Mustang Island State Park. I still see Nick Meyer doing his daily stream from Bob Hall, but they are starting to really lock down the beaches in Corpus Christi area.
