I got a really good job to look forward too!!!

I'm going to retire in a few months. I rolled my stocks to goverment securities a couple years back when stocks where good. I lost a little bit but not that much he last couple of weeks, not even enought to worry about and it will come back.

I plan to buy a new travel trailer next week and load the wife and dog up and head to North Eastern Oklahoma and look for some land to live on a raise a few cows. Also fish a few tournaments and rope a steer or two once I retire. I pretty much beat the system and don't mine letting people know. May even go buy me a new one ton Ram truck next week if I can get a deal.

Thats my new job I'm looking forward too!!!

With all that said, if I had to tough it out again. I'd do the same thing as 9/11. Hang on till it gets better. I had my days trying to sell a control system to a Refining company after 9/11 was like pushing a string up a goats behind. But it will get better. Same as the oil bust in the earlier 80's when I worked for the old Kerr McGee Oil Company. It may take a while but it will get better. Trust me, I aint the only guy in his sixties that lived through both, but the difference this time and lives are on the line and most have compremised health. My parents are long gone, but watching my wife worry about her 84 year old father hurts my heart.

As far as real new jobs, most of these new hot jobs will be short lived, keep doing what your doing it will more than likely get better.

Thanks, Billy

In the short run a hospitalist would be a good choice.

Billy, I would bet that you could get some great deals on travel trailers and trucks now. No doubt the dealers are getting hungry for sales about now. I am in a position like you except that I am already retired. Lookin to buy a new vehicle in the near future hoping to cash in on a good deal.

The wife and I hit the road in an RV 6+ years ago. We're loving it. If you have any questions just ask.

You have to have a good disgusted face (practice in the mirror)
Have to be a top notch a-hole
Must be able to throw hot pasta farther than 25 yards .
Yelling very loudly is always a plus.
Practice criticing your wife and mothers food and if they don’t kill you in your sleep than you’ve passed all the test.
