I won’t let a little cold wind stop me from chasing them humpbacks. We started shallow around 3 foot with no luck then fished our way out to around 10-12 ft and slayed them on 3 separate docks with the big fish being 1.9 lbs 14.5 in. They were all within a couple hundred yards from the ramp, you couldn’t have asked for a better setup. Gold and white was the killer color of the day.

Good catch and didn't have to burn a bunch of gas to get to them.

I agree with your assessment. I caught some small fish in 2' of water. But the real crappie were near the bottom in 8' on the deep side of the boathouses.

Yes sir, all the shallow docks less than 8 foot held all the 10in and smaller fish. The mid depth docks around 10-12ft were stacked with fat heathy fish. My jig rarely hit the bottom they were so thick under there.

May take my boys Wednesday and Thursday for some dock fishing since I'm in the process of changing out my trolling motor. Nice catch.
