Abbott was pretty clear today in that he had no intentions to make it statewide based on the data he has. Local government will have to do it. Reality many already are doing it. At this point getting on TV to announce it is more symbolic than substance.

His data will change rapidly

Did you watch his press conference?

He said he wouldn't shut down restaurants and a few days later he did the exact opposite

I did and you are right on what he said about not closing 200 counties when only 5 or 6 have large numbers. I just think the numbers across the state will increase rapidly, even the rural counties. Hope Im wrong!

So the real question is...will the boat ramps on Ray Hubbard (that’s Dallas County right?) still be open? Asking for a friend.

And if they are, can you hook up and go fishing? I consider that an essential for my health!

Probably showing 0 because not enough test to go around.

They cannot close Cedar Hill State Park any more than it already is unless they padlock the gate.
May 2021 before three fourths of the park reopens from flood damage.

Launch at Rockwall or Heath. I am planning on it since I will be working at home. I plan on fishing crappie spawn and turkey hunting lock down or not.

Looks like I'm an essential worker. We service the animal hospitals. Work sent us everything we should need in case of being stopped.

I’m hoping that as long as the state doesn’t mandate shelter in place the state parks will stay open. Outdoor recreational activity while socially distancing was on the approved list.
