Had Jared and his dad Victor out on Lake Fork today.
I meet Jared on the lake a couple weeks ago. I was out by myself prefishing and got to talking to him and his buddy and ended up giving them my fish that day.
Next thing I know he calls and books a trip and wants to see livescope.
With the lake way up and muddy I keep a positive attitude. I like it that way because you don’t hang your boat up on the timber as much.
After walking them through livescope and how it works I always show my clients how to catch a fish. So I did, the smallest fish of the day.. Then I handed the rods to them and it didn’t take long before I netted the first fish.
We seen lots of fish today. A lot of fish where roaming around today but we caught a lot of them fish. . More than I have been on previous trips. I believe it’s due to all the new high water from the rains.
We fished 10 to 18 foot of water with the fish suspend at 4 to 12 foot deep.
Fish are aggressive, if you can get the bait in front of them most of the time he would hit it.
We fished BoneHead Tackle Stump bug today in paradise color ( yes I used a different color today) and some hand tied jigs I made in black and orange.
I enjoyed fishing with these guys today. Jared asked a lot of questions and I like that, it tells me he interested and eager to learn more. I think he’s got the bug for a livescope now
We had 6 fish over the two pound range today. Jared took big fish today with a 2.51 pound slab.
Guys if you wanting to get on some springtime crappie action. Give me a call I have a few day left open in April.
God Bless!!!
