Yes. It works off a satellite signal.

yeah, thanks .I know that but was just wondering if the bridges were narrow enough or maybe a possibility of some stray signal bouncing around to work. High frequency, so I guess not.

Depends on how many satellites are close to the horizon that the bridge doesn't block.

The few times I have tried it with my Terrova it has worked flawlessly under the bridges on Lake Ray Hubbard and Tawakoni .

I got under the Hwy 154 bridge on Lake Fork and the GPS couldn't find me and we were barely under the bridge fishing between the first and middle column.

This. It takes a minimum of 3 to triangulate. I think.

Yes, Steve, that's where the "tri" syllable comes in, lol. The height of the bridge above the GPS antenna matters also. The higher the bridge, the higher above the horizon a signal can be received. The bearing of the bridge also plays into whether there's a satellite in the antenna's view, as well as surrounding terrain - trees, buildings, etc. Basically, there are so many variables that every case has uniqueness in whether or not it will work.

Mine has trouble under bridges. Like it doesn’t get a good satellite lock. It’s an xi5

Mine gets a signal but the positioning area is greatly increased. I find it better to fish into the wind, set a heading and adjust the speed to match the wind. Not perfect but moves less.
