Looks like Friday morning there is another cold front coming through East Texas. Just when you thought it was over, one more cold blast to send the fish out to deep water once again.

I regularly catch large females with eggs on deep structure in May. I don't know if they ever spawn or just absorb the eggs. Once all the vegetation grows in, in summer they could move in and spawn and be close to impossible to get to.

The flooded lakes around here are more worrisome than cold fronts
