The question is whether or not he was sight fishing.

His marshal states that Sprague commented the fish wouldn't bite and moved on.

Sprague even requested a polygraph.

BPT investigated the fish in question and ruled it was a legal catch. I don't see what the controversy is all about.

Some people just want something to talk about....

Why did he awkwardly try and hide it? Why did MlF remove the clip? No one has answered those questions

I didnt see him try to hide anything. The cameraman was out of position behind him, the fish was in view of the marshal.

As to why MLF removed the video, ask them. They were likely trying to prevent people questioning the legality and prevent the firestorm to follow. I will agree that removing the video will likely make things worse. Buy the catch was investigated and i trust those involved made the best decision that they could.

Clark, you must have lost a girlfriend to him or something. You have commented or created posts about him any chance you get. Clearly you have a grudge about something. Take a deep breathe.....exhale. Repeat. Then try to move on and live your life.

All they have to do is release the video, seems pretty simple.

I saw the video and the fish looked like it was snagged in the back. Intentional or unintentional, it is illegal in Texas (where they were fishing). For those of you who think it is legal, please read the regulations.

It is unlawful to use a pole and line to take or attempt to take fish by foul-hooking, snagging, or jerking. A fish is foul-hooked when caught by a hook in an area other than the fish's mouth.

I did notice multiple guys yesterday show the fish and say “hooked in the mouth”. That’s funny to me.

Not trying to defend, just curious - so anyone who snags a fish accidentally breaks the law? Wouldn't that be the same for any under- sized (or slot) fish that are caught as well? Interesting. I think someone needs to do a little better job on the language and definitions.

There is no controversy. Just a few people.

Unlawful to intentionally snag the fish.

You can’t aeriously think what your saying holds water...right?

Ooops. Forgot. LAWYERS don’t care to uphold the law, they get paid to find loopholes in it for their clients. roflmao

Lol. It's not illegal. Intentionally snagging is illegal.
