looks like one of those oil containment booms stretched all the way across a large cove where brandon coulter is fishing.....he went over it by raising his trolling motor...is this a posted area...didn't see any keep out or restricted area signs...

I believe it is to contain either salvania or some other aquatic vegetation.

It used to block the entire upper end of the lake. They simply pulled it over to the small end of the cove to store it until next time.
I went over it all the time, until the one time I got my side scan ducer hung on it. Lol. I looked pretty cool trying to use my paddle to unhook my boat....not.

My boat got hung under the sponson and my power pole mount on it and I had to get towed off. The friendly guy that helped me off tried to lecture me about going into restricted water... This was right after we got the explanation of the barrier on here. I pointed him to the post to know I was OK. Took a few more trips before I tried it again. With my Skeeter, you have to have some momentum going!
