My son and I have rented a cabin at Sam Rayburn to fish Mon-Fri next week. The cabin is up what I guess is called Boggy Branch, up close to the 83 bridge area. Is this a good area to fish this time of year? Any help would be greatly appreciated. fish

We just got back from there Sunday and between our 3 boats we boated roughly 100 fish. through the 3 days,,,
We mixed in a couple of 5lbers and a couple of 3-3.5lbers, but majority of our fish were 1.5 - 2.5 (probably around 70 of these) We filled our limit every morning and every afternoon. ""All fish were thrown back"" before the drama queens start coming out.
We kept it simple, nothing ever came out of the back of the coves, they were anywhere from the first point from main lake to the middle of the cove. We probably would have caught better size if we started going out deeper, but we stayed pretty much 6-7ft and shallower. T-rig, squarebill, weightless.
