how many here are good enough to fish Fork with a spinning rod the way the pro's are doing it? I can't imagine using a 10lb leader attached to braid and trying to land some of the fish that they are catching on a regular basis.

I caught this one with a medium light spinning rod, 15lb braid and a 6lb leader, Sunday morning. It was under a dock walkway in 1-1/2fow. It was surrounded by thick buck brush and dock pilings.

I considered myself lucky to get her to the boat.

I fish them probably 30% of the time. Medium heavy NRX with a Diawa ballistic. 15 lb Slick 8 power pro to a 15 foot leader of 10lb tatsu with a crazy alberto knot. Love that set up.

I fish 7 lb. Sniper as leader most of the time, even on Fork.

If you don't get bit...line size and all the rest don't matter. Get bit...worry about gettin her in after. (but I have broke off some nice ones even on heavy stuff so what do I know!)
