I do not believe it is the same fish. Fins are all beat to heck on that fish. The 15lber caught a few weeks ago had very clean and crisp fins. Not saying it couldn't have gotten beat up after being dead for a while in the lake, but that's a lot of change. On the other hand, how many 15's could be in that lake?

As recently as the lake record fish was caught and donated would it still not be at Athens?

As recently as the lake record fish was caught and donated would it still not be at Athens? I think they test really quick and if it's not a certain percentage Florida they release back into the lake.
