Fish turned on at PK with rising water temps.
All these fish were caught in the lake. I am sure there are many in the river also. All the sand bass were caught pretty shallow on slabs and flies. Lots of birds working the lake and most are not on fish. Water temp made it past 60 but was falling again when I left today.

Good report randy. Now if the weather would just cooperate. I see some poor soul out there in Neely fishing in the rain. I think I'll just wait.

Not yet but I will be installing one in the near future.
It's a game changer for sure on PK. I have been in a couple of boats that have it. When the crappie are relating to docks is sure does narrow down the amount of water you have to fish.

Due to the striper shortage , crappie can make a comeback.

They were there all along. Brady caught a 15.5 inch crappie today.
That fish has been around a while.

Docks have been key. But they are bursting with eggs so the should spread out soon.

Thanks. We try some dock for the crappie and flats off main river for sand bass.

Gborg: I do believe you are correct about the lack of stripers. I caught very few in the summer and fall. In places where I would normally limit out quick on stripers all I got was huge LM Bass.

That said, I would rather catch crappie anyway. I just don't know all of Randy's secret spots except for the docks with the "No Fishing anytime" signs.
