Brother and I fished Brazos near mouth of Nolan this morning. Went up Nolan about a mile just passed boat ramp. Tried various lures, fish 7:45-12, caught 5 white bass. 3 were large females, about 2 lbs each. Water surface temp was 59.2 at 8am at noon about 62. Should turn on any day. Just fyi.

Good info, thanks. I took my girls out Sunday. Nolan wasn’t good to us. Went to the main lake and found a school near Steel Creek. They put over 60 in the boat and were happy. 30-35 fow on slabs.

Went a good ways upriver today. Fishing was rather tough, caught about 80 total but only 28 keeper(usually don't keep anything less than 12"). Water has seemed to both come up and drop several feet since Friday. The same places fish were caught the last several weeks were empty mainly due to the water conditions. Main river was muddy the further up we went. Could only find fish in the clear feader creeks. Lots of foam in the water this morning along with very fast current. Water temp dropped back to 59°

Do you think there's any point in me dragging the kayak down there in the morning? I was thinking about launching at Nolan River Park or Rock Creek. I don't mind a little rain but if the river is too high/muddy I'll save myself the hour drive....I've never fished it after lots of rain.

No water going to be high and that’s a long way to drag a yak

Thanks, that's kind of what I figured. I'm going crazy sitting around the house.

Nic, I was out there at Whitney yesterday and had a decent day bass fishing. Got out on the main lake and fished standing timber on flats off the river channels with baby lake fork ring fries weightless or as light is you can stand. Caught good numbers of fish 2-3#. Not a bad day. Feel bad for a guy sitting around the house going nuts, been there...

Good report 44 Diesel. I took one look at that chocolate milk from the bridge at Kimbell Bend Sunday and turned around and hit the main lake!

Thanks for the advice, I might need to give that a shot. I'm a teacher at FWISD so I have a very extended spring break....
