I like the concept. You could go back through the path of someone who finds out they were infected. I'm sure the NSA already has most the location info locked down in Colorado.

Big data takes some compute power to filter but as the saying goes the geek shall inherit the earth.

There is an official tracking project but unfortunately they are not currently not taking advantage of available technology.

Should be easy enough. I got an email from Google a few months ago with a Google Map link that showed EVERYWHERE I went last year. They could compile everyone on the same map and shade highly crowded areas as red. Anyone who makes frequent trips to a red zone gets their tracks flagged as red. You can set an alarm to go off on your phone to notify you when you are surrounded by red people.

When i realized this a few years ago, I started keeping my location turned off on my phone. Tracked everywhere i've been since 2011.

Israel is doing something similar. High tech tracking and identfiying the path of infected. Good article and concept.
